This week on S&A Lindsay & Genevieve Radosti of Movie Jawn & CineFilth Podcast have to choose a Messiah but we change the channel. It's a Double of Hal Ashby's Being There (1979) & Nicolas Roeg's The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976).
This is a double of a Jesus Figure who loves television. And more importantly a portrait of 1970s America and where they are heading to into the 1980s and well today.

On this Murders We Have Known Lindsay & Nadine take on another kill duo. This time Raymond Fernandez & Martha Beck - The Lonely Hearts Killers. The Double Todd Robinson's Lonely Hearts (2006) & Leonard Kastle The Honeymoon Killers (1970). One a period piece set in the time appropriate time of the late 1940s, the other set in contemporary America. And everything is just a bit shit, whether that is the over arching theme or just literal construction of the movie.
Just always beware of the toupee

Welcome to a new Schlock & Awe Series. Murderers We Have Known. Lindsay & Nadine will focus on a famous murder or series of murders and look at how a Double Feature treats changes and portrays the crime.
To start things off we are looking at Leopold & Leob and the Crime of the Century with a Double of Tom Kalin's Swoon (1992) & Alfred Hitchcock's Rope (1948). This is a Double that looks at queerness, intellectualism, the Übermensch and how there is no such thing as the perfect murder.

Two comparable directors with two distinct styles. Both taking on corrupt cops both dealing with an outside influence. Gang Warfare and the Amish. Both these seemingly typical 1985 action movies have a certain flare.

This week on S&A Lindsay and Rachel tap dance on the town in Paris with a Gene Kelly Double of Stanley Donan's On the Town (1949) & Vincente Minnelli's An American in Paris (1951). Gene Kelly was an important figure not just in the Movie Musical but in Movies in General. They way he developed dance and abstract moved through film history.
Plus these movies are just fun
